Legendary Australian soap actor Alan Fletcher, who has been playing Doctor Karl Kennedy in Neighbours since 1994, will be headlining this years pantomime at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks. He will be playing the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood, starring alongside Andy Abraham from the X Factor, and 90's pop sensation Lolly, aka Anna Kumble.
Alan is no stranger to pantomime, having previously starred in pantomimes across the UK, including Aberdeen, Sheffield and Malvern. He also tours each year with his band 'Waiting Room', and has a huge cult following in universities across the UK. In other roles on stage, Alan has starred in a number of musicals, including Sweet Charity and Mame, and on screen in the the UK, Alan took part in ITV's 'Soapstar Superstar'.
The X Factor's Andy Abraham will be joining the cast of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood, this Christmas. Andy is a platinum selling recording artist, who is currently starring in the national tour of Boogie Nights alongside Gareth Gates, Chico and the Osmond Brothers. This will be Andy's second pantomime, having starred in Magic Beans Pantomimes production of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Pavilion Theatre in Weymouth last Christmas.
Sevenoaks Panto favourite and 90's pop senstation Lolly, aka Anna Kumble, will be making her third trip to the Stag this Christmas, to play the Fairy of the Forest in Robin Hood. Anna has starred in numerous West End shows, including Starlight Express and Elvis The Musical, and appeared in numerous pantomimes around the country, including Dick Whittington and Mother Goose here at the Stag Theatre Sevenoaks. As Brit Award nominated Lolly, Anna had a string of pop hits including 'Hey Mickey, 'Big Boys Don't Cry' and 'Rockin' Robin', and was the highest selling female recording artist of 1999.
The much loved pantomime double act that is Ant 'Silly Billy' Payne and Robert 'the one in the frock' Pearce will be returning for their fifth season at the Stag Theatre this year. Once again playing Dame and Comic, the pair have been taken to the hearts of theatregoers in Sevenoaks. And yes, the rumours are true, following Robin Hood, the pair will be taking a little 'Sevenoaks break'… But don't worry, they won't be gone for too long!
